College of Engineering

The College of Engineering is one of the six colleges of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly. It was established in October 1952 to prepare students for professional qualifications only.

Summer Internship Program

Each year, Genser seeks to recruit at least four second-year KNUST students to serve as interns during the Summer (June-August). We look for students in the fields of Chemical, Petrochemical and Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering and Geomatic & Geological Engineering.

Welcome Message

Civil Engineering involves the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of systems and infrastructure necessary to maintain and improve the smooth running of society. Examples of such infrastructure are the transportation system, water and waste management systems and building and construction.
